Families Together Project – Uttlesford

This exciting new project will start on 16th of April and will provide activities for children as well as support for parents from an ethnic minority background who live in Uttlesford area.The project also is designed to help new families like new migrant families to better integrate in to the local community. This work is provided thanks to the successful collaboration of Spurgeons charity and Integration Support Services. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS
International Women’s Day is an event that has been celebrated every year here in Harlow, thanks to the initiative and involvements of many passionate and enthusiast women in Harlow and surrounding areas. Integration Support Services is proud to continue and protect the legacy of this event for future generations to celebrate the achievements and the contribution of women in all aspects of our life. Through this event Integration Support Services this year brought together around 150 women of many ethnicities, faiths, professional and cultural backgrounds, an opportunity to share experiences, be inspired, reflect on our achievements as women and prepare for future challenges. Well done to ISS Staff and volunteers for their hard work making this event one to be remembered for a long time. Also special thanks to our partners ‘Belly Belles’, Efua Sey Academy, ‘Burlesque Jems’ Pink Spice, Harlow Councillors, and all those who attended the night’.
International Women’s Day has been observed since in the early 1900′s, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.
Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, and government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatrics performances, fashion parades and more.
Integration Support Services marks this event every year with the involvements and the contributions of hundreds of women.
