Integration Support Services (ISS) is a small charity based in Harlow, West Essex. ISS was founded by a group of migrant volunteers, passionate about making a difference to other people's lives. ISS was founded in 2004 and was registered as a charity in 2007. The charity's mission is to help migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and the BME community to successfully integrate in the British society, which is achieved through a variety of services delivered by the charity.
The examples of the services provided by the ISS are English lessons for adults from Pre-entry to Entry3/Level1, social events, Women's Groups, Talking Groups, Reading Circle, Children's Saturday Club, Immigration/Housing/Benefits advice, assistance with writing CV, volunteer opportunities, etc.
Due to Covid 19 Pandemic, all our services are delivered online via Zoom.
Our board of trustees are looking for enthusiastic, open minded and forward thinking individuals who have spare time to assist with governance of the charity by joining our board.
Our board welcomes diversity of cultures and languages. The board is especially appealing to the people with legal, financial, HR and managerial professional backgrounds to join the board.
We need a variety of expertise on the board to lead the charity towards the bright future.
We are appealing to working and retired professionals who could share their knowledge and experience with the board.
Equally we are appealing to the young professionals who are looking to gain experience in applying their knowledge and skills.
