Stepping Stones

The Stepping Stones project launched on the 1st of April 2019 as part of the larger Pathways to Integration project. The Stepping Stones project is a 1-to-1 mentoring programme designed to support women who wish to progress with their lives.

Our Support Workers provide women who have enrolled in the Stepping Stones project by giving them tailored advice, specific to each woman's individual needs. Through the Stepping Stones project, women can move forward with their employment and education ambitions. They can also develop their confidence and skills.

To become a part of the project, we ask women to complete a Personal Development Plan. The PDP is split into three sections. The 'About You' section asks women to share a few details about their background and their ambitions. A Support Worker then assists the woman with filling in a 'Schedule', helping the individual to recognise and set long-term targets. The individual is responsible for filling in the 'Diary' section, where they briefly record the progress that they make.
