We are currently looking for the following volunteer roles

Volunteers make an incredible difference to our organisation and help us take our services to thousands of people. After working with us, many of our volunteers secured full-time employment, entered education or started their own business.

There are lots of ways to get involved. If you are interested in making a difference with Integration Support Services, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Assistant Play-workers: Assistant Play workers volunteer at the Tree House Family Hub on Saturdays, alongside the Lead Play worker and Supervisor. Assistant Play workers design creative craft and play sessions for children up to the age of 12

  • Discussion Leader: Discussion Leaders are responsible for hosting our energetic Conversation Club and Talking Groups, which are held in the afternoon. The role includes selecting suitable topics of conversation and ensuring that everyone has a chance to share their views.

  • ESOL Teachers: ESOL Teachers volunteer at Falcon English School, where they deliver ESOL sessions to our adult learners. Our ESOL classes run in the mornings, evenings and on Saturdays. ESOL Teachers must hold a CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or other relevant teaching qualification.

  • ESOL Teaching Assistants: ESOL Teaching Assistants support ESOL Teachers at Falcon English School, undertaking administrative duties such as photocopying. They may also work with small groups of students and run some activities.

  • Events Assistants: Events Assistants support Integration Support Services on an ad-hoc basis. They attend events at various locations in Harlow, representing our charity and sharing information about what we do. ISS hosts a range of events throughout the year, from cultural celebrations (such as Multicultural Food Day) to awareness events (such as Refugee Week).

  • Office Assistants: Office Assistants support the day-to-day running of Integration Support Services. They primarily work on the charity's database, as well as completing other office tasks, such as scanning and photocopying documents.
